
On 19 December 2025, Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company (SAGS) approved a resolution of its Board of Directors to increase the charter capital of Saigon Ground Services – Long Thanh Co., Ltd. (SAGS-Long Thanh), as part of the efforts to strengthen financial capacity and operational readiness at Long Thanh International Airport. SAGS-Long Thanh increased its charter capital from approximately 12.6 million USD to about 30 million USD. The capital increase was implemented through cash contributions by existing shareholders in proportion to their ownership stakes, with SAGS maintaining its 75% ownership, while the remaining 25% is held by Hanoi Ground Services Joint Stock Company (HGS).
On 25 May 2025, the Investment Project No.2 for the construction and operation of aircraft and aviation equipment maintenance and ground technical commercial services at Long Thanh International Airport officially commenced, with SAGS-Long Thanh acting as the direct implementer and project manager. Previously, on 7 December 2024, the consortium of SAGS and HGS had been selected by the Ministry of Transport as the project investor, with both companies committing to use solely equity capital without mobilizing external debt.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) was designated by the Ministry as the procuring agency responsible for tendering, contract execution and management, and coordination of subsequent project implementation steps.
The ground services development at Long Thanh International Airport comprises Package No. 1 and Package No. 2. Each package is implemented on a land area of over 7,000 square meters, with a preliminary investment value of 29.7 million USD per project. The construction period is estimated at around 18 months, while the operating term extends to 24 years and 8 months.
Established on 18 March 2025, with headquarters in Long Thanh International Airport, the company’s core businesses include direct support services for air transportation, notably the repair and maintenance of aircraft, aviation equipment, and ground technical and commercial handling services.
