Amid Vietnam’s robust tourism recovery, Dong Nai Province recorded over 1.7 billion USD revenues from accommodation and food services, a year-on-year increase of 19.9% with travel-tourism services generating approximately 14.7 million USD, up 38.5%. According to the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province welcomed more than 4.9 million visitors in the first 11 months of 2025, including nearly 130,000 international arrivals and about 4.8 million domestic tourists. In the services sector, the province posted revenues of nearly 2.8 billion USD, up 23.7%. Several service industries experienced strong growth, such as arts, entertainment and recreation (30%); real estate (26.3%); administrative and support services (20.8%); healthcare and social assistance (19.8%); and education and training (19.7%), reflecting the province’s dynamic tourism-service expansion in 2025.
Dong Nai’s tourism sector is poised for rapid advancement, supported by major transport infrastructure – most notably the Long Thanh International Airport and the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, both nearing completion – as well as further strengthened by Cat Tien National Park, recently recognized with 4 international ecotourism awards, which solidifies the province’s commitment to green tourism. The province is also enhancing promotion and regional linkages to develop diversified experience-based tourism routes; advancing community-based tourism models; and accelerating digital transformation and the establishment of a smart-tourism ecosystem.
Currently, Dong Nai province is implementing several large-scale tourism projects, namely the Chua Chan Mountain eco-tourism and resort complex (Xuan Loc Commune); projects at the Mai Waterfall-Bau Nuoc Soi eco-tourism area (Dinh Quan Commune); and ten forest-canopy eco-tourism initiatives within the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve (Tri An). The province is additionally studying five tourism routes designed to leverage Long Thanh International Airport’s strategic advantages, these are:
(1) Long Thanh International Airport – Dong Nai’s Administrative Center – Tri An;
(2) Long Thanh International Airport – Dau Giay – Dinh Quan – Tan Phu, with extension to Da Lat (Lam Dong province);
(3) Long Thanh International Airport – Long Khanh City – Xuan Loc, connecting to Phan Thiet (former Binh Thuan province, current part of Lam Dong province);
(4) Long Thanh International Airport – Cam My, connecting to Ho Tram (Ho Chi Minh City); and
(5) Long Thanh International Airport – Nhon Trach – Long Thanh, focusing on mangrove forests, ecological forests, and river-based tourism sites.
