The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Tourism signed a cooperation agreement with Grab Vietnam to enhance tourism promotion and position the city as a leading destination for domestic and international visitors.
Four collaborations are planned under the agreement, namely:
(1) Collaboration on digital marketing to promote HCMC’s tourism offerings and attractions through both online and offline communication channels, targeting various visitor segments and local food enthusiasts;
(2) Digital transformation of local restaurants and eateries by promoting digitalization and enabling more establishments to join Grab’s digital platform;
(3) Integration of tourism maps and tourism service packages on the Grab application;
(4) Support of major tourism events in HCMC, particularly those of cultural and social significance.
In recent years, Grab has intensified cooperation with local governments to promote digital transformation across multiple sectors, both to better serve users and to support government agencies in generating new drivers for sustainable socio-economic development. Grab has signed cooperation agreements with Hue City, Da Nang City, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong to advance digital transformation in local tourism, assist small businesses in enhancing digital skills, and foster effective and sustainable tourism growth in these localities.
