Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, has approved the “Development and Expansion of Digital and Cloud Computing Infrastructure in Da Nang City” project. The initiative aims to meet the growing demand for information infrastructure, big data development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in digital government, smart city management, and emerging digital economy models.
The project will be implemented at the Da Nang Data Center and across relevant municipal agencies from 2025-2027, with a total investment of over 13 million USD from the central government budget.
Key objectives include upgrading and expanding the city’s IT infrastructure to enhance digital transformation capacity, focusing on (1) computing infrastructure, (2) data storage systems, (3) network and cybersecurity infrastructure, (4) backup and disaster recovery systems, and (5) cloud computing platforms.
Additionally, the project will modernize the Da Nang Data Center’s technical infrastructure, including power supply and backup systems, cooling systems, and monitoring and operational systems. It will also upgrade and expand Da Nang’s Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) to strengthen connectivity at the local level.
