On 14 October, the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO)[1], Korea, announced its plan to expand its exhibition industry network across Asia. The center recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with leading Vietnamese partners, namely the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC)[2] and the Becamex Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC)[3], within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Busan and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the CEO, Sohn Soo Deuk, Vietnam serves as a key partner in BEXCO’s overseas expansion strategy in the exhibition and convention industry and a strategic base for the ASEAN market. Under the MoU, BEXCO will share expertise in exhibition infrastructure, event planning, and fair operations, while strengthening cooperation through personnel exchanges and joint project development. In addition, BEXCO plans to collaborate with the Binh Duong World Trade Center (WTC) under Becamex to jointly organize exhibitions and promote bilateral business partnerships.
