Google, Temasek, Bain & Company’s survey in six Southeast Asian countries (Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia) notes that Vietnam’s internet economy has the highest growth rate of 16 percent from 2019, followed by Indoneasia. The Global System for Mobile Communications Associations (GSMA), explained that Vietnam’s achievement was mainly driven by notable improvements in the connectivity component of its digital society index (connectivity, digital, citizenship, digital lifestyle, digital commerce and digital identity), following the launch and rapid expansion of 4G networks in the last three years.
