Thai cement giant to buy the seventh Vietnamese packaging firm (vnexpress)
A subsidiary of Thailand’s SCG Group has registered to buy a 94.1 per cent stake in Vietnam’s Bien Hoa Packaging Jsc. The deal, if successful, will increase the number of Vietnamese packaging companies owned by SCG Group to seven. SCG is one of the earliest foreign investors in Vietnam in the 1990s. SCG now owns 20 subsidiaries in Vietnam covering a range of industries including cement, construction materials, chemicals and packaging.
